*Shocking Exploitation in Beed, Maharashtra**

In a deeply disturbing case from Beed district in Maharashtra, the wombs of **843 women sugarcane labourers** were **forcibly removed**. These women—mostly poor, uneducated, and from rural backgrounds—were **medically exploited** under the excuse of health care or work efficiency. The real reason?
To ensure they **don’t get pregnant or miss work during menstruation**, and continue labouring in the fields without any interruption.

This isn’t just a violation of medical ethics—this is a **gross abuse of human rights.**

Many of these women didn’t even know what a hysterectomy meant. Some were falsely told it was necessary for their health. Others were manipulated or pressured by their families, contractors, or even private doctors looking to profit from surgeries.

The aftermath is horrifying:
These women now suffer from **serious health problems** like hormonal imbalance, weakness, early menopause, and psychological trauma. They’ve been **stripped of their dignity, health, and future — just to serve a system that values profit over people.**

What’s worse?
It happened **right under the nose of the so-called “triple engine” BJP government** — at the local, state, and central levels. No strong action has been taken so far. No accountability. No justice.
