To find the equation of a straight line from a graph, you first need to find the gradient and then secondly find the y-intercept.
The equation of a straight line is y=mx+c, where m is the gradient and c is the y-intercept.
To find the gradient, you use rise / run or change in y / change in x.
To find the y-intercept, you can either read the value from the graph (where the line crosses the y-axis) or by substituting in a set of coordinates into the y=mx+c equation, because you have already found the gradient 'm', and the coordinates give you values of 'x' and 'y' to substitute in.
