In this video, we demonstrate why it is extremely important to understand compatibility, especially when it comes to using HD Analog or HD Coax security cameras.

We show how a 5MP camera works on a DVR that fully supports the resolution and HD signal from the camera. On a different DVR that claims to have 5MP support, the camera shows black and white video instead.

Some things that can happen if your camera and DVR are not compatible include: no video at all, black and white video, glitches/artifacts, or strobing video.
