After many years away, I finally returned to my hometown - the place that holds the sweet memories of my childhood. This time, I brought not only my luggage, but also special ingredients to cook a dish that I had prepared for a long time: delicious grilled ribs. But what made this return trip even more special was that I chose to grill ribs on the vast lawn behind the house, where I used to play with my friends.

In the morning, when the first rays of the sun spread golden on the lawn, I began to pack up and prepare for a small party. The space here was wonderful: the green lawn stretched to the horizon, shaded by rows of tall, ancient trees. The gentle wind blew, carrying the scent of the countryside, the chirping of birds on the branches made my heart flutter even more. Everything reminded me of my childhood, when my friends and I used to run around, lie down on this lawn to watch the clouds drift by.

I spread a small carpet on the green grass, taking out the ingredients I had prepared from my suitcase. The fresh ribs were carefully marinated the night before with honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and a little five-spice powder to create a special flavor. I also brought fresh vegetables to eat with them, such as corn, cucumbers, and apples, oranges - all picked from the garden.

Lighting the charcoal stove was the next step, and this was probably my favorite part. The small sparks danced in the gentle breeze, the coals began to glow red, and thin smoke rose high, blending with the fresh morning air. I carefully placed each rib on the grill. The fragrant smell of the ribs began to spread, mixed with the sweet smell of honey, making my stomach growl.

While waiting for the meat to cook, I snacked on cucumbers, apples, oranges...etc, breathing in the fresh air of my hometown. In the distance, there were a few buffaloes leisurely grazing, the gentle winds seemed to whisper old stories. This scene made me feel the peace and simplicity that I had longed for during my years living in the bustling city.

When the ribs were golden brown, I placed them on a large plate. The shiny, fragrant ribs with the burnt crust looked so appealing. I also grilled vegetables and golden corn, and I cut them into pieces, wrapped them in vegetables and dipped them in water.

That meal on the lawn was not only a small party but also a moment of connection between me and my hometown. Sitting in the middle of the vast nature, enjoying each piece of rich ribs with laughter and peace, I realized that there is no place like home - the place that holds the most beautiful memories in my heart.
