Also, the European Union is now gearing up to phase out Russian energy supplies in response to the war in Ukraine. Jackson Proskow reports on the planned timeline and the growing international goal to end reliance on Russian energy.

Plus, many Ukrainians are stepping up to defend their country against Russia, and on this International Women's Day, the courage and power of Ukrainian women are being celebrated. Heather Yourex-West has some of their stories.

And the third contender could be Jean Charest, who has a long history in federal and provincial politics for both the Liberals and Tories.
