Thousands of Russians Bid Farewell to Mikhail Gorbachev - BBC World News - 9/3/2022
Funeral ceremony in Moscow today honouring Gorbachev, the last Soviet leader, who attempted without success to bring greater openness to his country. Most world leaders were not permitted to attend due to their opposition to Putin's brutal invasion of Ukraine. Thankfully, Putin stayed away from the ceremony as well.
