FRAGRANT MANNIK AS IN CHILDHOOD, SHARING THE RECIPE OF THE COOK FROM THE SOVIET KINDERGARTEN
WE TAKE:
🔹 sour cream or thick yogurt 200 gr
🔹 semolina 4-5 tbsp
🔹 eggs 3 pcs
🔹 granulated sugar 200 gr
🔹 flour 200 gr
🔹 butter 50-70 gr
🔹vanillin to taste
🔹 salt 1/2 tsp
🔹 baking powder 1/2 tsp
WE DO:
✅ mix sour cream and semolina, let it swell for 2 hours (you can put it in the refrigerator at night, and warm it up to room temperature in the morning before baking)
✅ beat eggs at room temperature with sugar and vanilla, salt
✅ Sift flour and baking powder and mix with beaten eggs and semolina mixture, melted butter, mix
✅ Grease a baking dish with oil
and bake mannik at 180-200 degrees for 30-35 minutes, until cooked
✅serve mannik warm with sour cream and berries
* it is important that semolina and eggs swollen in sour cream / kefir are at room temperature before baking! If you put this mixture in the refrigerator to swell overnight, take it out to warm up an hour before baking.

* choose fat sour cream or thermostatic thick kefir
