In the holy city of Deer, 20,000 inhabitants survive thanks to the road. Every day, tons of goods are loaded and unloaded from trucks — the only means of transport in the region. The trucker’s quarter provides most of the jobs: drivers, mechanics, and assistants toil daily in choking dust and pollution. Among them, 23-year-old Kamara is a successful businessman. He owns two trucks and sends his best drivers into hell: the infamous Lowari Pass.

Loaded with two tons of sugar, the truck heads into the mountains toward the remote Chitral Valley, a region bordering Afghanistan. This 240 km road is the valley’s only supply route — a deadly path plagued by avalanches, landslides, collapsing tunnels, and drug-fueled exhaustion. From the pimped-out trucks of Pakistan to freezing nights on mountain cliffs, follow the perilous journeys of men who drive for survival. This is not just a road trip — it’s a Deadly Journey.
