In 2021, Victoria, in Australia's South East, experienced a magnitude 5.9 earthquake, which very unexpectantly occurred, rattling the state, causing some structural damage, and injuring one man, but more then that, it showed all of Victoria, and Australia, that we are still very much tectonically active, even though Australia is located in the middle of a massive tectonic plate, known as the Indo-Australian Tectonic plate.

Only 2 years after this, and 3 more notable Earthquakes have occurred in Victoria. One in Sunbury, another in Pakenham, and one in Victoria's Eastern Highlands at Rawson.

So let's revisit how a relatively tectonically stable continent can experience this type of event, and document where these most recent quakes occurred, what magnitude they reached, and what they mean for the future.
