In the Underworld (2009), Michael Corvin becomes the first Vampire-Lycan hybrid, a powerful creature combining the strengths of both species. Michael is initially bitten by the Lycan leader, Lucian. This sets him on the path to becoming a Lycan. Michael is later shot with silver nitrate bullets, which would normally be lethal for a Lycan. To save his life, Selene bites him, introducing the Vampire virus into his system. 🐺🧛🏻‍♀️

Michael immediately displays incredible strength, surprising even the Vampire Elder Viktor. While his facial architecture remains largely human in the first film, some sources suggest he develops a short muzzle in later installments. He gains claws, the ability to control his transformation to some degree, and superhuman speed and agility beyond that of both Vampires and Lycans individually. He also becomes immune to silver and sunlight, weaknesses typically associated with Lycans and Vampires respectively. 💪🏻

After the transformation, Michael exhibits a more feral mentality and a ruthless combat style previously unseen in his human form. While he rarely speaks as a Hybrid, his intelligence is still evident in his use of weapons and understanding of objectives, possibly stemming from heightened predatory instincts. 💥🔥

Despite his immense power, Michael lacks combat experience, a disadvantage when facing seasoned opponents like Viktor. He is also vulnerable to impalement and needs blood for sustenance, though his healing powers are extraordinary, allowing him to recover from severe injuries if provided with blood. 🩸
