A short comedy film! Don't you just hate when this happens?

On the night before having to deliver the most important presentation of his life, a tightly-wound workaholic is kept awake by an infuriating mystery noise. Expect stress, anxiety, insomnia, nightmares... and mayhem!

John is a hard worker, yearning for that dream promotion from his overbearing boss ensuring a rosy future with his loving girlfriend, away from his immature housemates. So, when his boss chooses him to present the company’s latest project, he realises it may be his chance to get what he wants.

But the night before the big presentation, as he is drifting off to sleep, he hears something. Despite an exhaustive search of his room, John can’t seem to find what’s causing it. As he begins to have premonitions of how events will play out if he doesn’t get to sleep, the noise gets louder and his efforts to figure out where it’s coming from become more and more elaborate.

Time is ticking until his alarm clock is set to go off... How far will a desperate man go to get one night’s sleep?

The film premiered in the US at the 5th LA Indie Film Festival in October 2014, and in the UK at the London Short Film Festival in January 2015.

Production Notes:
Filming had to be quick as DOP James Thomas was only available for a two- week window in between working on Exodus: Gods and Kings and The Avengers: Age of Ultron. He worked in the camera department on both films.
Director Steve Ramsden had previously worked with both lead actor Jack Tidy (Odd) and supporting actor George Rodd (Downton Abbey, The King’s Speech).
Writer Fred Salmon based the story on personal experiences of insomnia and inability to control anger.
