The apocalyptic thriller follows a high school science teacher and his wife as a sudden wave of mass suicides sweeps across the northeastern United States. Ordinary life shatters when people begin taking their own lives in horrifying ways, with no warning and no clear cause. Fleeing the city with a small group of survivors, they soon realize the threat is invisible, carried on the wind, and spreading fast. Cut off from safety and unable to trust even the air around them, their desperate fight for survival becomes a race to understand nature’s deadly rebellion before it wipes out humanity.
