It’s safe to say we slept in today 😴

The reality of self-building is that it requires a lot of mental energy and time. Some tasks are more fun than others but it eventually all has to get done!

If you’re thinking about GCing your own home build and doing a lot of work yourself, here are some tips:

1️⃣ Buy a job-site radio.. music will be your best friend and will keep you motivated when you feel overwhelmed or stuck.

2️⃣ Meal prep as much as you can- this will save mental space during the week when you need to focus on work and your home build

3️⃣ Share the journey with your partner or a friend/family member- everyone has days when they don’t feel motivated or inspired to build their dream. Working together helps!

4️⃣ Hire out the tasks you’re not interested in doing or learning- it’s not secret that time is money, focus on the tasks you’re interested and hire out work where you can!

I could give you a lot of additional tips but these are the top few that come to mind!
