As I told you in the last video (more info here: ) here is another rare and fundamental album by Chanterelle Lanza del Vasto, Yves Tessier and Mildred Clary: true pioneers of early music now almost forgotten. Many musicians who came later drew heavily from them. This album is from 1958 and include also the participation of the Chorale des Communautés de l'Arche, the choir of the community of l'Arche founded by Chanterelle and his partner Giuseppe Giovanni Lanza del Vasto, together with the artists mentioned above. I think that this album is wonderful: the interpretations are disarming in their sincerity, you will hardly ever hear anything more philologically credible. The only criticism I feel about it concerns the duration of the disc which is really short, probably the cause is the supports and the possibilities of the years in which the recording was made. The poems and songs are only partially sung and this is really awful for me because I wish I could fully enjoy these versions. As it is easy to guess from the title, the repertoire explored in this work ranges from troubadour music to that of the trouvéres going as far as Gregorian chant.
