What I learned from spending $100,000 on business school...

This is what I learn in business school after spending $100,000 and 4 years. Was college worth it? Should you go to college? Was it worth it, or was it a complete scam?” It's definitely a lot of money. Even if you're not going to business school, you'll find this video helpful because it can help you decide whether to go to college or not. Let’s say you’re a 20 year old entrepreneur, do you need to go to college to start your business? I go to college at the UBC Sauder School of Business, located in Vancouver, Canada. Vancouver is a really, really expensive city. Rent was $1000 per month and living expenses added up to another $1000 per month. In business school, the first two years you're taking an introduction class of every single aspect of business, including logistics, marketing, operations, human resources, accounting finance. But you get the point. And only in the third year you select your concentration. For me that was marketing. I'm going to tell you the top three things I learned from my business school degree because they're not exactly what you would expect me to say to you. #1 how to give presentations and do public speaking. You definitely do a lot and a lot of those in business school, especially in marketing. So public speaking is actually Americas number, one fear followed by bugs and needles and drowning so you can see how people are afraid to speak in front of others, because it's really nerve racking the first time you stand up in front of your classmates, you're literally shaking, or at least I was. At Sauder we had a lot of group projects. And at the end of each one, we had a big presentation worth 30% of our grade. So we were forced to practice over and over again. #2 how to do “networking” This is such a buzzword. But basically how to make friends. And make a deep connection in a short amount of time. You also learn his social skills because when you're really awkward, people don't want to chat with you and they just kind of quietly move away from you and you're just outside of the circle. So you learn to adjust your own social behavior. You eventually get better by doing. So business school really just provides an environment for you to practice these soft skills. #3 how to trust myself and pursued my own business ideas. That's the most important thing I learned in business school. So let me tell you a story ever since I was a kid, I wanted to start my own company, even though I had no idea what that was going to be. But I just love the idea of starting a company because the effort you put into it is directly proportional to the money that you get. You don't get that with a job. you can put extra hours into a job, but you don't get paid that much more. So I always wanted to start a business and I actually did that in the first year of university. I also started my YouTube channel in college like many other college YouTubers such was Elliot Choy, Nicolas Chae, John Fish, and Richard Yu. I started out making entrepreneurship videos but eventually I moved to making college vlogs and capturing my life to show you what college is like. The first video that blew up for me was my UBC Day in the Life video. My channels started growing from there.

Previously I made a business school day in the life video and a lot of you asked me, “How did you spend $100,000?

#2 how to do “networking”
This is such a buzzword.
