Martin Best is a truly interesting artist who has recorded numerous albums in his career ranging from folk to medieval, Renaissance and baroque music. His approach is really interesting because he interprets the medieval repertoire with a popular approach, very important in this field, but without forgetting the precious ornaments, the refined vocal and musical technique of the troubadours and composers of the Middle Ages. You can find his other albums on the channel and I invite you to look for them. In this recording Martin Best, although inspired by the theme of Amor de Lonh, which has Jaufré Rudel as its father but which has become so dear to many troubadours, interprets a very varied musical repertoire. Concerning the video, I used a curious circular-shaped manuscript from the 13th-14th century!
