New Year's Eve Dinner in the Countryside. Cooking Traditional Dishes with the Whole Family

Today I will show you our traditional New Year's dinner, which used to be cooked in every family. Olivier salad and Herring under a fur coat salad still remain unchanged and traditional salads of the New Year's table. Enjoy watching everyone. 🎂Plombir Cake with Peanuts Biscuit dough: 4 eggs, 120 grams of sugar 130 grams of flour Separately beat the egg white + half of the sugar until stiff peaks form. Beat the yolks with the remaining sugar until white. Carefully combine the whites with the yolks, add 130 grams of flour and mix everything thoroughly with a whisk Bake at 180 C for about 35-40 minutes. Do not open the oven. Take out the biscuit, let it cool and cut into 3 layers. Soaking for the layers: 200 ml of milk + 2-3 tbsp. sugar. Boil down a little. Soak all the layers with milk syrup. Cream 'Plombir': 1 egg, 120 grams of sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour (with a slide) 300 grams of sour cream (if you do not have sour cream, use regular cream) 180 grams of butter. Mix all the ingredients except the butter, put in a water bath and cook until thickened. Remove from heat, cover the custard with film and let cool to room temperature. Whip soft butter and gradually add the cooled custard. Grease all the cakes with the resulting cream, as well as the sides of the cake. Sprinkle the cake with peanuts, decorate the top as desired. I used protein meringue cream, according to the recipe for Italian meringue. I baked all the vegetables in the oven at 180 C for about 1.5 hours. Peel the vegetables and grate them, laying each layer one on top of the other. The first layer is finely chopped salted herring, then onion, pour a little vegetable oil. Then lay out the vegetables one by one, smearing each layer with mayonnaise. Herring-onion-potatoes-eggs-carrots-beets. It is advisable to make this salad a few hours in advance so that it soaks well.
