State Representative Marie Woodson surprised City Manager Dr. Wazir Ishmael with a non-agenda presentation of a proclamation to thank him for “his years of service to the City of Hollywood, Broward County and the State of Florida, commend him on a job well done and congratulate him on the occasion of his retirement.” After heartfelt remarks by Rep. Woodson, she read the tribute to City Manager Ishmael – sharing a journey from his childhood through his educational achievements, professional career and family life. With a standing ovation, City Manager Ishmael proudly accepted the proclamation.
