This marks a notable pivot toward electrified performance while embodying Bugatti's heritage in craftsmanship and speed.

Roughly one week after the Tourbillon's unveiling, Koenigsegg replied by breaking the world record with the Jesko Absolut, which shattered multiple performance benchmarks including the 0 400 0 km/h sprint in just 27.83 seconds, reaffirming its dominance in acceleration performance.

About five months later, Bugatti broke the open top world record with the W16 Mistral "World Record Edition," achieving 453.91 km/h (282 mph) at Papenburg and setting a new benchmark for production open top cars. The record run underscored Bugatti's enduring W16 prowess even as the engine era nears its end.

Seven months after its initial Jesko Absolut run, Koenigsegg broke its own record by returning to the track and once again lowering the 0 400 0 km/h time, posting 27.83 seconds officially with Markus Lundh behind the wheel, slightly improving performance over prior marks.

Just 13 days later, Rimac broke the world speed record with the Nevera (or a likely upgraded version), reclaiming the title by smashing several performance benchmarks including rolling start acceleration. This run demonstrated Rimac's electric hypercar supremacy and fueled the escalating arms race in top speed engineering.
