Ingredients:
• 115 g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
• 80 g (1/2 cup) brown sugar
• 70 g (1/3 cup) granulated sugar
• 1 large egg, room temperature
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 160 g (1 1/4 cups) all-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• A pinch of salt
• 200 g (1 1/3 cups) chocolate chips

Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth (1-2 minutes). Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, and stir until the mixture is well combined.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until the batter is smooth (about 2 minutes).
4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
5. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between the cookies.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers are slightly soft.
7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Note: For variety, you can add some nuts or replace part of the chocolate chips with caramel chunks.
