So if you follow me on Instagram: you've seen that I've recently got the lovely new purple iPhone 12 and now finally here I am with the unboxing video for it. This phone is an absolute beast especially for me coming from an iPhone 6 which I've been using for almost 3 years now. Now the iPhone 6 is definitely not the worst phone in the world as you've seen my sharp high quality Instagram pics mostly taken with my iPhone 6. Anyway, as a YouTuber what I'm really excited about with my new iPhone 12 is of course that 4k video at 60fps. Sure many iPhone models can do 4k 60fps video, but my old iPhone 6 could only shoot up to 1080p 60fps which is perfectly fine as there's always the argument that is 4k video really all that important or even that useful. A lot of your favorite YouTubers still to this day myself included are still shooting their videos in 1080p quality. So is 4k video really that important or even all that useful especially since most people nowadays more than ever are consuming content on smaller screens aka their smartphones so that extra sharpness of a 4k video is really not gonna matter since everything is gonna look sharp on a tiny little smartphone screen. Whereas an old school guy like me who consumes content mostly on a 21.5" monitor than yes that extra sharpness of a 4k video is actually noticeable and I watch all my videos in 4k if there is a 4k option that is of course. So with all that being said going forward am I gonna start shooting all my future videos in 4k 60fps now. Well the answer is no. However, I will shoot my special videos in 4k 60fps. For example, when I do that $1,000,000 cash video you guys all wanna see now that video will definitely be shot in 4k 60fps with my iPhone 12. Now that I think about it I'm also heavily considering shooting all my shorter no talking videos in 4k and my longer unboxing & review talking videos in 1080p just so I don't have to deal with crazy large 4k 60fps file sizes. Anyway, don't be surprised if I actually do that, but no promises here. Now also as an Instagram photographer... or at lease that's what I like to call myself. I'm really excited about the photo taking capabilities of the iPhone 12 with it's wide camera having a very impressive aperture of f 1.6 which is just nuts especially when it comes to low light photography and just overall sharper images. For comparison sake my iPhone 6 has an aperture of f 2.2 and my iPhone 6 takes some pretty decent low light pics in my opinion, but the iPhone 12 is on a whole nother level of course. It's low light capabilities are just unreal. It's crazy how far technology has come.
