At first glance, this cliff looks like a natural rock face. But it's actually an engineering feat, the result of sophisticated construction techniques. When building a road through the hills, it is not uncommon for the hills to be cut, leaving steep cliffs on the sides. To make them stronger and safer, these cliffs are reinforced with a special layer of concrete. However, plain concrete is certainly unattractive and can look conspicuous in nature. So these workers shaped and textured the concrete to look like real rock. They even added natural colors and details, such as cracks and streaks, to make it look like a natural rock. In addition to improving aesthetics, this technique is also important for preventing landslides and stabilizing the slope, ensuring that the road remains safe for motorists.
