How to retrofit existing parking lot pole lights (shoebox style) from HID / Metal Halide to LED. I will show you how to bypass the ballast and reconnect the LED directly to 240 vac. We also need to adjust the mount for the E39 base because the new LED bulb need larger width.

The LED lights only consume about 1/4 (25%) of the energy compared to HID / Metal Halide. In this video I am converting 400 watts metal halide to 100 watts LED.

These mount base of these light bulbs are E39 (Mogul Base)

I bought these corn bulbs from Amazon. These kinds that I bought are FANLESS (no moving parts hopefully they will last longer).
