Asher was known for his honorable business practices and his battle against "The Network," an illegal group dominating radio airplay. Born in 1932, Asher attended Tufts University and Cornell Law School before joining the Marine Corps. He worked as a corporate attorney before becoming vice president of business affairs at CBS Records.

A California rapper, Tan DaGod, was shot dead while hosting a beauty salon's grand opening. She had promoted her appearance online and had advertised her meet-and-greet at Glamor Beauty Supply in Oakland. The rapper was then gunned down around 5pm, leaving some fans racing to safety. A second person was also shot, but the unidentified victim is expected to recover. The motivation behind the shooting remains unknown, and the gunman is still at large. Tributes began to pile up outside the shop, with flowers and people holding each other and sobbing.

Shannen Doherty, a 90210 star, sued her former management business for letting her health insurance go, claiming her cancer spread when she wasn't insured. He was nominated for an Emmy in 1984 for outstanding supporting actor in the drama category. Sikking also acted in films such as Ordinary People, Scorpio, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, The Pelican Brief, Fever Pitch, and Made of Honour. Born in Los Angeles in 1934, Sikking was the fifth of five children.

Hollywood icon Shelley Duvall has passed away at the age of 75 due to diabetes complications. Born in 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas, Duvall gained fame for her role as Jack Torrance in The Shining and was awarded the Best Actress prize at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in Robert Altman's 1977 film 3 Women. She began her acting career in 1970 and starred in several films, including Nashville, Annie Hall, Popeye, Roxanne, and Portrait of a Lady. Duvall was found to be content and optimistic about her career in 2021.
