The New Tamron 150-500 for Sony E mount cameras is a fantastic lens for anyone photographing wildlife and more. How well does it perform in the wilds of Alaska?

Really really well. Tamron has added vibration compensation to the 150-500 which makes a huge difference on a telephoto lens like this. The image quality is excellent all the way through the zoom range and across almost all apertures. The 150-500 feels great to hold when used on a sony camera like the A7III, A7sIII, A9II, and on the Sony A1. Overall Tamron has added an excellent telephoto lens for Sony cameras to their already impressive line of lenses.
