Catherine Ann "Kate" Bosworth (born Catherine Ann "Kate" Bosworth; born January 2, 1983) is an American film actress and model.
Born January 2, 1983 in Los Angeles. Kate is the only child in the family of housewife Patricia Potter and one of the leaders of the Talbots chain of stores Hal Bosworth. Kate Bosworth has an inborn sector heterochromia: the left eye is blue and the right is half brown.

As a child, Bosworth dreamed of becoming a professional rider. At age 14, she received a champion title in equestrian sport. Bosworth studied French at Cohasset High School, where she also played for the football team and for the lacrosse team.

Bosworth's acting career began in 1998 with Robert Redford's The Horse Whisperer. The producers of the film were looking for an actress who knows how to ride a horse, and she got this role.
