Converting between proper and improper fractions | Numbers | Maths | FuseSchool
Fractions have two parts. The numerator and the denominator. The numerator is the number that is on top and the denominator is the number on the bottom. Fractions can be written in two main ways. The first one is called an ‘proper fraction’ and the second is called an ‘improper fraction’ or a ‘top heavy’.
