In Earth's early history, things were... a little different. Volcanic eruptions released a rock known as Komatiite. These eruptions, though, no longer happen, and, well, the an eruption that releases the molten state of this rock has more or less become extinct. As a result of our planet's ever cooling mantle.

This is a story of the extremely low silica rock known as Komatiite. Earth's earliest basaltic type magma, which laid the foundations for the Earth we know today.
