In the 2011 film Immortals, the battle between gods and Titans is a central conflict, though with a different portrayal than traditional Greek myths. The film presents a brutal and visually striking depiction of the long-standing animosity between the Gods of Olympus and the monstrous Titans. ⚔️

The Titans: In this version, the Titans are not the ancestral rulers of the cosmos, but rather a grotesque and terrifying race of beings who were defeated by the Gods and imprisoned within Mount Tartarus. They are depicted as a formidable force, unleashed by King Hyperion's desperate quest to destroy the Gods. 🏛️

The Gods: The Olympian Gods, while possessing superhuman strength, speed, and other powers, are bound by ancient laws preventing their direct interference in mortal affairs unless a threat arises that could destroy them all. This leads to the unlikely hero Theseus, a mortal chosen by Zeus (disguised as an old man) to rally humanity against Hyperion's army and the freed Titans. The Gods eventually descend to join the fight, showcasing their divine power in a series of visually stylized battles against the Titans. 🛡️

The conflict culminates in a climactic battle within the crumbling Mount Tartarus, where Gods and Titans clash, and Theseus faces Hyperion. Ultimately, the Gods, though powerful, are outnumbered and suffer casualties, with only Zeus and Poseidon surviving amongst the initial group who confront the Titans. Zeus is ultimately able to defeat the remaining Titans by causing the mountain to collapse upon them. Theseus, mortally wounded in the process, is transported to Olympus and granted a place amongst the gods. 🔥
