The Mansfield "City Game" would see the T-Y Tygers sweep the season series by defeating Madison 58-50 in a tightly contested showdown at Pete Henry Gymnasium.

The game went back and forth from the very start of the action with the Rams seizing an early lead before Senior High closed the frame with a 12-11 edge. A similar storyline unfolded in the second quarter as these rivals traded the lead until the halftime whistle with the Tygers on top, 24-21.

A quick Madison (8-10, 5-8) spurt to start the third quarter gave the Rams their largest advantage of the night at 5-points, but a tough shooting night for Jayden Jeffries' (6-20 FG's) standards limited the gain green for the remainder of the stanza. Mansfield Senior (11-6, 9-3) would go on a 14-1 run to regain the lead for good, owning a 40-35 cushion heading into the fourth.

Karion Lindsay filled it up for a team-best 15 pts while Rashad Reed added 11 off the bench to help the Tygers stay in front down the stretch, taking two key charges in the final minute of play to secure the victory. Jeffries ended the night with 19 pts & 7 rebs with freshman Seven Allen adding 13, while Mansfield received 4 or more points from 9 different players.
