On the eastern coast of the Black Sea, the city of Tuapse in Russia experienced one of the most devastating natural disasters in its history due to intense rainfall, flash floods, and tornadoes. Within hours, the region recorded a month’s worth of rainfall, causing the Defan River to overflow. Hundreds of buildings were submerged, bridges collapsed, and many settlements lost road access. A state of emergency was declared, and large-scale evacuation and rescue operations were launched across the affected areas.
