Lionel Sanders is a one of a kind human being. He epitomises hard work, pushing his body to the absolute limit of what is possible whilst laying his emotions out there for the world to see. It is no wonder he has developed such a huge following within the world of endurance sports.

However, despite his rise to the top of the sport and almost unrivalled popularity, Lionel is still striving for that major victory that will lift him towards legendary status within triathlon folklore.

The arrival of the PTO Tour in his home country provides him with an incredible opportunity. His ITU Long Distance World Championship was won on home soil back in 2017 and now he has the chance to take on the Norwegian superstars Kristian Blummenfelt and Gustav Iden, the top two ranked athletes in the world, in front of his home crowd in Edmonton.
