On April 5, 1982, President Reagan spoke to the Building and Construction Trades Department. This was one year after his previous speech there, which ended in an attempt against the President's life. In this speech, he gives thanks to the brave people who protected him from the gunman, talks about protecting worker's rights and the future of the United States budget plan.
