Wayne Trace will play for its sixth appearance in the State Final Four after holding off Canton Central Catholic 34-29 in a Division 3 Bowling Green Regional Semifinal.

The Raiders held a slim 8-7 lead after one before the Crusaders answered with a 9-7 second to take a 16-15 lead into the break.

The Wayne Trace defense picked things up in the third holding Canton Central Catholic to 4 points in the third to take a four point lead at 24-20 lead heading to the fourth.

The two teams exchanged buckets with the Crusaders cutting the deficit to one with under two minutes remaining. They had a chance to tie down three with less than fifteen seconds remaining, but the Raiders would get two offensive rebounds on consecutive missed free throws and a bucket with 5 seconds left to ice the game.

Wayne Trace had three players in the scoring column as Kyle Stoller led all scorers with 18 points. Brooks Laukhuf also scored in double figures with 13 points. Tanner Laukhuf also added 3 points.

Canton Central Catholic was led by Finley Stewart's 11 points. Damonte DeGraffenried followed with 7 points.

The Raiders will face the top team in Division 3 Ottawa-Glandorf in the Regional Championship on Saturday at 1:00 at the Stroh Center at Bowling Green Univ.
