Here is another interpretation of the repertoire that has come down to us from Kassia, today considered the world’s earliest music female composer: 9th-century nun, poet, and hymnographer.
Judging by some comments regarding the VocaMe interpretation that I presented to you some time ago () many of you will probably prefer this interpretation of the American ensemble Cappella Romana. The Cappella Romana vocal ensemble was founded in Portland in 1991 with the mission to experience and understand the transcendent beauty of the sacred music of the Christian East and West, particularly Byzantium, by cultivating this rich cultural heritage and sharing it throughout the world.
