The ICT organisation announced the death of former Altron Robbie Venter, a well-known tennis player and the son of SA company veteran Bill Venter. Venter was a tennis player and served on the board of Altron from 2001 to 2017. Venter studied economics and later began his career in US merchant banking. He worked four years with Bear Stearns before the bank's collapse in 2008. The Altron Board expressed condolences to the Venter family, friends, and loved ones on the untimely passing of Robbie.

At 99, the longest-serving Ohio female legislator, Marigene Valiquette, died at a central Ohio assisted-living facility. Valiquette was the longest-serving woman in Congress, serving six years in the House and 18 in the Senate from 1962 to 1986. She was a Democratic floor leader, Judiciary and Ways and Means committee chairman, and Senate Finance and Rules committee member. She co-authored the Ohio Lottery law and pushed for women, children, and labor as a Democrat.

Bobby Thomson, a former player for Aston Villa, has passed away at the age of 87. Thomson, who played for Albion Rovers and Airdrieonians, scored an impressive 70 goals in 172 games during his four years in the club. He was signed by Villa manager Joe Mercer for £8,000 after being demoted the previous season. Thomson played in one league game and scored 20 league goals, helping the team recover to the top level as Second Division champions. He also scored twelve goals in each of Villa's first three seasons back in the First Division. Thomson also co-commented for a club in recent years.

Mercedes Pomares Primelles, a former Cuban volleyball player, passed away on Tuesday. Jokin Perona, the deputy for Finance, passed away in a traffic accident in Peleas de Abajo, Zamora, where his wife was born. The Civil Guard is investigating the incident. Perona discussed refunds to mutualists who had paid in excess and stressed the territory's solid financial status in his last press conference.
