Saving my 16mm & 35mm Films in Storage by Ira H Gallen

It's been sometime since I've been posting on YouTube, while recovering from spine surgery but I'm back and ready to to bring you a lot more of my findings collecting and restoring rare one of a kind films, television shows and especially commercials from the 1950's and sixties over the last 45 years. All the videos at TVDAYS.com are posted on VIMEO, and you'll have a chance to download hundreds of hours of TV Shows, commercials, trailers, cartoons, travelogues, news reels, features, silent films and more for free. I also wanted you to know that a major part of my film collection has been acquired and being restored by the Indiana University Libraries Moving Image Archive. This is one of the world’s largest educational film and video collections. With more than 130,000 items spanning nearly 80 years of film production, the Archive is a member of the distinguished International Federation of Film Archives, the world’s leading association for film preservation. https://libraries.indiana.edu/moving-image-archive The first group of films being restored is my collection of kids television shows from the 1950's that you'll be able to see in glorious 2k imagery for the first time. This will include thousands of my commercials, starting off with all my toy spots. I'll be working with ThunderbeanAnimation.com, to include their restored cartoon classics to merge with my programing. The legendary film historian Rick Prelinger has acquired and restoring over 2500 reels of my Home Movie Collection spanning from 1928 through the 1970's. Rick has also opened his massive library of films to me to include in my attempts to recreate the Boomer World of 1950's TV with his never before seen newsreels, commercials, travelogues, educational films, cartoons and more. I'm also in talks with The Library of Congress, and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences wanting to acquire other parts of my collection I'll talk about later. So there's an extra excuse to stay around a little longer, and as we all know if any thing happens to me my mother will kill me., and I can't wait to see her this weekend. Also for those asking to buy some films from collection, I'll have a list soon of 16mm TV shows like Sea Hunt, Maverick, Brackens Worlds, Cheyenne and others. For 8mm & super8 fans I have a large amount of cult classics I'll be offering from Castle films, Blackhawk and others. Attention sports fans I've donated a lot of Dumont Boxing and Wrestling kinescopes to be restored from 35mm, so the University could always use some funding if you'd like to acquire them for broadcast. Lean more at TVDAYS.com or e-mail Vidres@aol.com Stay Safe, and thank you.
