I’m not on any political party's side. But as an Indian citizen and taxpayer, I have the right to ask questions and right to criticize decisions that affect public money.

Recently, all 70 Delhi MLAs have been given iPhone 16 Pros and tablets for making the Assembly paperless under the National e-Vidhan Application (NEVA). The idea of going digital and paperless is good for efficiency and the environment. But the question is — was it really necessary to buy such expensive iPhone 16 Pros when there are cheaper alternatives like mid-range smartphones or tablets that could have done the same work?

This is our hard-earned taxpayer money. We, the people, are struggling with rising prices, unemployment, and basic facility issues, and our leaders are getting premium gadgets in the name of “digital work.” It feels like VIP luxury is being prioritized over public interest.

As citizens, it’s our responsibility to ask questions respectfully and demand accountability for how public funds are being spent.
