In Vietnam, people have a clever traditional method of moving large coconut trees without using heavy equipment. This technique not only saves money, but is also more environmentally friendly and efficient in its use of labor. First, they dig up the soil around the roots of the coconut tree to free the tree from the ground. Then the workers use a rope to control the direction of the tree's fall. And one of the uniqueness of this technique is the use of carts that are placed under the tree before it falls. With the right calculations, the trunk will fall directly onto the cart, eliminating the need to lift it off the ground. For shorter trees, the cart is attached directly to the trunk before it is felled, making the process more efficient.
