This is a Motormouth couple car review of the 2022 mid-size luxury Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.Mercedes-Benz always does a great job with its interior design and this
GLE Coupe is no exception. It’s hard not to feel the luxury in this SUV with a beautiful leather cream interior, wood trim, a panoramic sunroof and 64 colour ambient lighting. The wide screen cockpit with dual 12.3” digital displays adds sophistication and elegance to the cabin. Standard features include, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, power tailgate, panoramic sunroof, over the air software updates, Apple Carplay and Android Auto. There are plenty of packages to choose from including the premium package for $3400 CAD, which includes heated rear seats, a foot-activated tailgate and heated front armrests and upper door panels. If you would like a wireless charger, you can add it for $150 CAD or soft close doors for $550 CAD. In the US, you jump right to the GLE AMG 53, the packages are a little different and you have the option of some a la carte items like a heated steering wheel for $250 USD, a Warmth and Comfort package for $1150 USD which includes, a rapid heating feature for the front seats. You can also add ventilated front seats for $450 USD and heated second row seats for $580 USD. There is a lot to choose from to make this Coupe your own. The Burmester sound system is a great addition with two surround sound options, 13 speakers and 590 watts of digital clarity or a 25 speaker digital analog 3D system. The Coupe isn’t as practical as the GLE SUV, you lose 2 inches of headroom in the second row and about 14 cubic feet of overall cargo space. The GLE 450 Coupe is not available in the US and the AMG GLE 63 S is not available in Canada. The 450 Coupe starts at $86,600 CAD, AMG GLE 53 $97,600 CAD/$76,500 USD and AMG GLE 63 S $116,000 USD.
