Considering the enthusiasm and the many messages I have received from you regarding the latest videos that I have published dedicated to early music pioneer ensembles, I have decided to continue my researches and I present to you this beautiful 1953 recording of the Collegium Musicum Krefeld directed by Robert Haas, Austrian musicologist born in Prague on 15 August 1886.
The repertoire presented starts from the most famous Minnesangers such as Neidhart von Reuenthal, Witzlaw Von Rugen, Oswald von Wolkenstein and obviously Walther Von Der Vogelweide; among them we find an English Dance (n. 4).
Subsequently there is a second part dedicated to the troubadours and trouvéres in which some famous Italian dances have been inserted: a Saltarello and the beautiful Lamento di Tristano.
