I almost threw away my old binoculars because it was broken (dirty, foggy, cloudy, not clear). I owned this Sigma compact binoculars for about 15 years. It has served me well, over the years, it has gotten dirty, layers of dust accumulated on the its lenses and prisms. Now it is so blurred that it is not usable. I had 2 choices, either I clean it or I throw it away and buy a new one. Since I was ready to throw it away anyway, I thought I have nothing to lose, may as well try to clean it. I spent about 30 min disassembling and reassembling it.

The endeavor was a huge success. The clarity of the binocular is back to the way it was when it was new! Now I have another 15 years of time! :-)
