Arif Aqueel, a 72-year-old former Madhya Pradesh minister and Congress leader, passed away after a long illness. He was elected six times to the Bhopal North assembly seat and served as a cabinet minister in Congress administrations of Digvijaya Singh and Kamal Nath. Aqueel was a prominent Muslim leader of the party.

Kenan Işık, a renowned Turkish theater, movie, and television artist, passed away at Istanbul Başkent University Hospital after receiving treatment at the Schmieder Rehabilitation Center in Germany. He was a professional theater actor at 17, graduated from Gazi University's Department of Public Administration, and became a State Theater artist in 1973. Işık won over 30 acting, writing, directing, and voice honors and was a consultant at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Józef Schmidt, a two-time Olympic gold medallist in the triple jump and a renowned Polish track and field athlete, has passed away at the age of 89. Born in Miechowice, Germany, Schmidt held nine Polish records and received two votes in the "Przegląd Sportowy" plebiscite.

Dr. Snehalata Shamrao Deshmukh, a renowned pediatrician and former vice-chancellor of the University of Mumbai, passed away at the age of 86. She was a former dean of Lokmanya Tilak Medical College & General Hospital at the BMC and presided over the University of Mumbai from 1995 to 2000. Deshmukh was known for her expertise in pediatric surgery and served on the Tata Memorial Center's Governing Council. She co-founded the neonatal department at BMC's KEM Hospital. Deshmukh was born in 1938 and attended various medical schools.
