iPhone Camera Tricks: Top 10 Unknown Features!

Here are the Top 10 iPhone Camera Tricks that you don't know about. 1. Preview the recent captured image. Generally, when we take a picture, we do actually tap on the gallery and will look at the image. Later we come back to Camera app to take another image. But you can preview the image directly from the Camera app without even leaving it. To do that, take an image then 3D touch on the gallery space. This will bring you all the recent images where you preview them directly by dragging across. Try it now. 2. Getting the Filters. You don’t always need to tap on the filter icon to get the filters. If you just swipe up here you can trigger the same option of getting the filters. To close them, just swipe down here. That’s it. 3. Comparing the filters with the original image Do you know when you 3D touch on a filter, you can quickly compare the edited image with the original photo? try now. 4. Scanning the QR Code To scan a QR code, just need to aim the camera at the QR code and it will just fetch you the details of the corresponding QR code. That’s simple. Isn’t it? 5. Using the Camera Zoom Do you know that you can zoom on the subject with a single hand in any of the mode like picture or video. Just long press on the 1x label then slide up or down to zoom in or zoom out the subject. You can apply the same while recording a video for smooth zoom in effect. 6. Panorama Just tap at the middle while you on the panorama view to shift the capture from right to left. Too simple but worth knowing. 7. Exposure Lock Long press on the camera until you see this AE/AF lock which means Auto Exposure and Auto Focus lock. If you in the dark area, then you can manually adjust the exposure by sliding the line up or down. Now when you move around, the exposure wont change so that you can have the constant exposure shots all over the video. 8. Crosshair Calibration This tip is extremely helpful when you scan a lot of documents or taking some product shots. Did you see these crosshairs which tells you that the camera is rightly calibrated to the floor, therefore the perfect shot. To enable these crosshairs, you need to turn on the grid. To do that, open Settings, then go to Camera. Here turn on the Grid option. Now come back to Camera application then place the iPhone right on the document to see the crosshairs. When you see the solid yellow crosshair, capture the shot. That’s simple. 9. Preserve Settings It is a hectic task to switch the camera mode options everytime when you use a particular mode all the time. For example, if you record a lot of videos, then getting the Photo mode when you open the camera is of no sense. Once or twice is fine to switch the mode from Photo to Video. But all the time is frustrating. But here is the tip. You can preserve the Camera settings which means you will get the last used mode when you open the camera application. To enable it, open Settings, then go to Camera then Preserve Settings then turn on the Camera mode. When you do this, it will preserve the last mode, such as Video or Square, rather than automatically reset to Photo. 10. Using Animoji You might be surprised by seeing my introduction. I did that using the same feature that we have in the iPhone. This is really simple that most of the iPhone users don’t know about. Let me tell you the procedure. Open iMessage then choose the contact who is using iMessage to exchange messages. This method won’t work if you choose the contact who is not using iMessage. Then Tap on this camera icon which is next to the text field. This will bring you the camera interface. Now choose whether to take a photo or video. You can choose any camera mode here. After that, tap on this star icon which will bring you a lot of options. Choose Animoji the first one, then pick the character. I’m going with the customized character but you can choose any like Monkey, Dog etc. Once you pick the animoji, then tap on this close icon. Now see yourself with the animoji head then tap on this record button. You can add Filters, Text, Shapes right from here. The added extras will track your movements automatically. Once you record the video, tap on Done. You are now in the iMessage You can send the recorded video with a message or you can simple trash it by tapping on the close icon. But don’t worry, a copy of the video is already saved in the photo gallery. It’s your choice whether to share it via WhatsApp, Facebook or use it in your next video project. Cool. Isn’t it?
