A short dark comedy film filmed in Iceland!

In an unknown wild, windswept landscape, two friends in a desolate and remote wooden cabin are enjoying some beer and peanuts whilst chatting about a host of eclectic things. Both offer up little-known interesting facts and trivia, playfully trying to outdo each other. They discuss everything from the origins of everyday sayings (like 'giving him the cold shoulder' and 'taking the piss') to their favourite movie villains (they decide Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs is top) via some truly strange conversation starters. But as the small talk starts to take a turn for the sinister, we begin to wonder if their conversation is as random and hypothetical as it sounds. - with troubling results...

The Witney Film Festival said: "Beer & Nuts was excellent, a tribute to all the strange conversations we have with friends but with a twist ending. The leads were talented and funny and the location was original and inspiring."

While we were filming a promotional film for a company in Iceland,I wanted to take advantage of the rustic cabin and wild scenery where we were staying. I said: “we have to make a short film here!” Once I had come up with the basic idea, my colleague Archie and I based the highly-improvised dialogue on several weird conversations we had been having over the last few days. In the end we just set three cameras rolling at the same time and filmed ourselves performing. We recorded about 25 minutes of material, which was edited down to the what you see in the film. It was a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy it!
