It’s not our aim to frighten you this close to summer, but it might be a good idea to pause, just for a moment, before diving into the sea, to consider this. Right now, Australia is riding a growing wave of shark attacks. In the last year, more than half of the deaths caused by sharks around the world, happened here. As a result, there’s now some extraordinary technology being used to keep us safe, but researchers have also made another surprising discovery: It looks like we’re to blame for the boom in shark bites.
