China's New Silk Road project, also known as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), is an ambitious infrastructure plan aimed at enhancing global trade and boosting China's influence. Initiated by President Xi Jinping in 2013, the project involves building extensive networks of railways, shipping lanes, and roads across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
With over a trillion-dollar investment, China plans to construct ports, rail stations, and industrial zones along these routes.
The initiative seeks to create a modern trade corridor, expanding China's economic reach and reshaping global political and economic maps to its advantage by 2049.
