We were in Riomaggiore during a severe storm. Looking at the raging sea, I remembered the movie “The Perfect Storm”. Hence the title of this video.
Riomaggiore is an ancient Italian village in the province of La Spezia in Liguria on the Eastern Riviera. It is the easternmost and southernmost village of the five villages of the Cinque Terre. The historic center, whose original nucleus dates back to the 13th century, is located in the valley of the Rio Maggiore stream, the ancient Rivus Major from which the village takes its name.
The town is made up of several parallel rows of Genoese tower houses that follow the steep course of the Rio Maggiore stream. The new district of the Station, so called as it developed starting from the second half of the 19th century following the arrival of the Genoa-Pisa railway, is located in the adjacent valley of the Rio Finale stream, so called as it marked once the border between the lands of Riomaggiore and those of Manarola.

Eravamo a Riomaggiore durante un forte temporale. Guardando il mare in tempesta, mi sono ricordato del film “La Tempesta Perfetta”. Da qui il titolo di questo video.
Riomaggiore è un antico borgo italiano della provincia della Spezia in Liguria, sulla Riviera di Levante. È il borgo più orientale e meridionale dei cinque borghi delle Cinque Terre. Il centro storico, il cui nucleo originario risale al XIII secolo, è situato nella valle del torrente Rio Maggiore, l'antico Rivus Major da cui il paese prende il nome.
L'abitato è formato da più ordine parallele di case torri genovesi che seguono il ripido corso del torrente Rio Maggiore. Il nuovo quartiere della Stazione, così chiamato poiché sviluppatosi a partire dalla seconda metà dell'Ottocento in seguito all'arrivo della ferrovia Genova-Pisa, è situato nell'adiacente valle del torrente Rio Finale, così chiamato segnava un tempo il confine tra le terre di Riomaggiore e quelle di Manarola.

Мы были в Риомаджоре во время сильного шторма. Глядя на бушующее море, я вспомнил фильм «Идеальный шторм» — отсюда и название этого видеосюжета.
Риомаджоре — старинная итальянская деревня в провинции Ла Специя в Лигурии, на Восточной Ривьере. Это самая восточная и самая южная деревня из пяти деревень Чинкве-Терре. Исторический центр, первоначальное ядро которого образовалось в 13 веке, расположен в долине реки Рио-Маджоре, (древнее название Ривус-Майор), от которой городок и получил свое название.
Городок состоит из нескольких параллельных рядов генуэзских домов-башен, расположенных вдоль течения реки Рио-Маджоре по крутым склонам. Новый район Стацьоне, названный так потому, что он развивался со второй половины девятнадцатого века после появления железной дороги Генуя-Пиза, расположен в прилегающей долине ручья Рио-Финале, который когда-то назывался так и обозначал границу между поселками Риомаджоре и Манаролой.
