You know what I’m doing here, this is the smartest picture in the world and at this rate probably the smartest picture forever, and I’m making videos about these people.

And you won’t believe what most of them have done. (With funny filter)

Let’s go to this gentleman in the middle right here, his name is Erwin Schrodinger,
You might have heard about Schrodinger’s cat.
Yeah it’s where he had the cat and some poison in a closed box and he said that we don’t know if the cat is alive or not alive until we open the box, so it’s actually both alive and not alive. (Funny face)
Here is the thing guys, quantum physics is super difficult to understand and my friend right now just gave the Copenhagen interpretation, which says that the cat is in a state of “superposition”, and Schrodinger actually made the whole thought experiment up to make fun of the explanation that he just gave.
But whatever, the other thing he did is that he came up an equations, what was the name of the equation? You guessed it. Schrodinger’s equation.
This is the equation, pretty self explanatory right? I’m just kidding. (On hand)
Ok so good luck understanding the next 20 seconds, this is my grade in Modern Physics so I’ve Aced it for fun, but it’s not my major, and there’s probably going to be 40 physicist stitching my video and disagreeing with me and then disagreeing with each other as well.
And don’t skip me in this 20 seconds, story time is right after and there will be a lot of tea about our good buddy Erwin.
But here it is, the Time Independent definition of the equation which got him a Nobel prize, in another tshirt I might add.


This is basically the F = ma of the quantum world.
So Heisenberg’s principle tells us that we can’t know the exact position and momentum of quantum objects so if you have an electron in a box, you don’t know where it exactly is, but you can guess where it is with a probability distribution. This will give us the energy levels of the wave function of an electron and it makes it possible to determine the properties of matter in a quantum system. Byeee. ZOOM

Wooh I’m sorry (gasps) Story time though, Erwin Schrodinger was a very smart person and he’s probably the second most famous physicist right after Einstein, but you should never really idolize anyone.
He was a male supremacist! he was born in Austria, went to Germany because all the smart physicists were there, he had to leave Germany because he didn’t like Hitler, Very Nice, and he went to Oxford, but they didn’t let him stay because he wanted to live with two ladies, one of them was his wife and the other one was his colleague’s wife, soo yeahh, and btw he couldn’t stay in Princeton for the same reason and ended up back in Austria which is not a great place to be for someone opposing hitler.
Then he went to Italy and ended up in Ireland. And btw he came up with that equation in a sanatorium when he was ill with Tuberculosis which ultimately ended his life.

And that’s (claps) I’m just kidding you think that’s all he did? No no no.
He has multiple papers on colors and their psychological effects.
He also wrote a somewhat philosophical book called What is Life and it in he talks about something which that thing was the DNA so we can also credit him with helping discover the Double Helix structure of the DNA molecule.
