Portofino is one of the most famous places in the Italian Riviera. The town is clustered around a small harbor and is known for its colorful houses arranged around the famous harbor.
Since the late 19th century, this pearl of the Mediterranean has attracted tourists and is now a resort that every year attracts thousands of travelers including artists, politicians, and celebrities.

Portofino is an ancient village mentioned by Pliny the Elder as Portus Delphini or Port of the Dolphin between Genoa and the Gulf of Tigullio. In the central part of the town, the Roman road system, with orthogonal meshes still remains.
